Tang Ting is a photographer and artist lives and works in Shanghai. He started his activity as a photographer in 2007, has created several series since then, focusing notably on portraits and independent music scene for he is fairly involved in China’s creative youth culture. These series demonstrate a great attention to the people, their dynamism and beauty.
In 2013, his series “Slow Dreams” a collection of romantic images from across the China-Indochina Peninsula won the Special Mention of Becas Roberto Villagraz.
Tang Ting's love and intimate connection to the very movements he documents is evident in the way he frames his subjects. His images provide a tender context for people who are just living and loving their lives in Asia's modern age. His photos are full of stunning colors and textures, often composed with humor and the charms of humanity, the attitudes of musicians, athletes, artists, models, and others he photographs in an honest and fresh way.
His unapologetic and honest work has been featured in the likes of Vice, Centrefold, Monocle, Numéro, and clients ranging from Adidas, Nike, Converse and Vans.
